Physicians Formula Gentle Cover Concealer is non-drying, fragrance free, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic (meaning it won’t block pores) and is recommended by dermatologists and plastic surgeons.
The 4.2g colour correcting concealer sticks are packaged in lipstick-like bullets with a twist-up base and clear lid. The thick, creamy formula glides on smoothly and effectively disguises blemishes and imperfections.
There are four colours to choose from and each is designed to target specific blemishes and imperfections: Soft Yellow, Yellow, Green and Light (flesh-toned concealer).
Yellow disguises dark blemishes like under-eye circles, bruises and other minor skin imperfections.
Green neutralises red blemishes like broken capillaries, rosacea, redness around pimples, etc. and helps hide scars.
Light (the flesh tone shade) is used like a normal concealer and covers any minor skin imperfections.
To keep your colour corrector stick clean and hygienic, always use a clean concealer brush or clean fingers to apply the concealer to your face. Avoid applying the product directly from the bullet onto your skin can, as this can lead to the spread of bacteria and will increase the chances of spreading a breakout.
To apply Physicians Formula Gentle Cover Concealer, select the relevant colour corrector for the imperfection that you need to disguise. Colour corrector should be applied before concealer and foundation, but the order in which you apply your concealer and foundation is up to you. Foundation can be applied directly over colour corrector and then a flesh-toned concealer used for further coverage where necessary.
Once you’ve selected the relevant colour, dot a little of the product over the area to be concealed, using a clean concealer brush or clean fingers and lightly pat the product over the imperfection, blending the edges into your skin before gently applying your foundation over the top with a foundation brush or cosmetic sponge. Using your fingers to apply foundation over corrected areas may result in the corrector being smeared or wiped off. Powder lightly for lasting coverage.
When applying green colour corrector or a flesh-toned concealer onto acne or pimples, try using a clean eyeliner brush to apply most of the colour corrector or concealer directly onto the blemish and then use a concealer brush to lightly blend out the edges before you apply foundation.
If you’re using Soft Yellow or Yellow under your eyes to disguise dark circles, use the “less is more” approach and try to keep the application of product to the absolute minimum by applying it lightly to the areas where it’s needed most and slowly build the cover up with a small brush, where necessary. This will prevent the colour corrector, concealer and foundation from looking cakey and creasing in the fine lines around the eyes.
Physicians Formula Gentle Cover Concealer sticks are not paraben free, as they do contain Propylparaben. They are available from selected online retailers.
