Fragrance free and dermatologically approved, Innoxa Pure Silk Skin Primer is silicone-based and glides on smoothly with a silky, matte finish. It disguises the appearance of pores and fine lines, while providing the perfect base for flawless looking, long-lasting foundation.
Comparing Innoxa Pure Silk Skin Primer to Yardley Line Minimiser Primer (which I mentioned in a previous blog post called “Primers“), they are both silicone-based, but the Innoxa primer comes a bigger tube, 30ml compared to 17ml for Yardley. Innoxa Pure Silk Skin Primer is a clear, almost liquid gel, whereas Yardley Line Minimiser Primer is off-white in colour with a thicker, more creamy consistency. Both glide on smoothly and spread easily, but the Innoxa product definitely feels more silky-smooth on my skin. and I found it kept my very oily skin looking matte and “shine-free” for a lot longer.
Both are affordable products and work well however, of the two I personally prefer the Innoxa primer. It feels more luxurious on the skin, it has a nicer consistency and the bigger tube means it’ll last longer.
This primer can also be used as an eyeshadow base, if you don’t want to use two separate products. Just remember to use it sparingly on your eyelids, as too much primer may cause your eyeshadow to crease.
If you do have oily skin, please bear in mind that most matte products will only keep your skin looking shine-free for a maximum of 4 to 6 hours, depending on how oily your skin is. Unfortunately, your skin will eventually produce more oil than the product is able to absorb.
Innoxa Pure Silk Skin Primer is available from selected pharmacies, Makeup Direct stores and online.
